While overnight camping is not permitted at Timberline Lodge facilities (including our parking lots), there are many options close by that offer access to pristine wilderness and breathtaking views.
While we encourage you to spend the night at Timberline Lodge, we know that sometimes you like to get out and really experience nature first hand. Although camping is not permitted at Timberline Lodge facilities (including our parking lots), the following campgrounds are close by:
Alpine Campground
Located on Timberline Road, 1 mile from Timberline Lodge.
Still Creek Campground
Located 1/2 mile east on U.S. 26.
Summit Meadows Campground
Located approx. 2 miles East on U.S. 26 to Trillium Lake Rd, south 1 mile, right on East Perry Vickers road.
Mt Hood RV Village
Located in Welches, midway between Timberline and Sandy.
