Home / Dining

Cap off a phenomenal day on the slopes with fondue in the Ram’s Head or a hand-tossed signature pizza and microbrew at the Mt Hood Brewing Co. Wake up to piping hot waffles and a mimosa in the Cascade Dining Room. Or just curl up by the fire with a mug of our famous hot cocoa. At Timberline Lodge, our best-kept secret isn’t the killer view or our heated swimming pool. It’s our food. If you’re looking for the best Mt Hood restaurants, Timberline has them all.

OUR CHEF
Timberline Lodge Executive Chef Jason Stoller Smith has been cooking in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 30 years. His close ties to the Northwest food culture nurtures his reputation for crafting fare that speaks of the season. At all six Mt Hood restaurants under the Timberline umbrella, Chef Stoller Smith presents hearty fresh fare that is pure Oregon.
CASCADE DINING ROOM
A spirit of craftsmanship paired with a respect for the environment inspires Timberline’s culinary program in each of its Mt Hood restaurants. Timberline is at the center of Oregon’s bounty, which is tended by artisan producers with a common goal. This vision is most prevalent on the Cascade Dining Room menu with locally-inspired dishes that change with the seasons.
RAM’S HEAD BAR
Many Mt Hood restaurants have nice views, but none compare to the stunning vistas that can be enjoyed from the Ram’s Head Bar. Uniquely located on our second floor circular balcony, this is the perfect location for family-friendly casual dining. The bar menu is extensive with historic cocktails and an awe-inspiring collection of spirits.
BLUE OX BAR
Oregon’s Most Iconic Bar is tucked away behind the main lobby. The Blue Ox Bar is a favorite watering hole steeped in history. The menu features pub-style pizza and Mt Hood Brewing Co. microbrews.
WY’EAST CAFE
The Wy’East Cafe is a favorite hangout for hungry skiers and riders taking a break from the slopes, with five food stations to choose from. Located across the parking lot from Timberline Lodge in the Wy’East Day Lodge.
Y’BAR
Offering hearty fare and hot toddies, the Y’Bar will warm (and fill) you up for your next run on the slopes. The Y’Bar is located next door to the Wy’East Cafe in the Wy’East Day Lodge.
PHLOX POINT CABIN
Ski in to warm up at Phlox Point Cabin by a roaring fire. On the menu: street cart-style tacos, beer, wine, and other hot and cold beverages. Located mid-mountain, Phlox Point Cabin is newly remodeled and open just in time for the 2016 winter season! Open daily when lifts are running.
MT HOOD BREWING CO
The Mt Hood Brewing Co was founded upon the notion that, like the best wines, bakery goods, and other perishable products, beer is best produced in small, hand-crafted batches with the highest quality ingredients obtainable and sold for consumption very close to its source.
CULINARY EVENTS
Chef Jason Stoller Smith is honored to team up with his friends from the farm, vineyard and sea to present culinary events throughout the year, both at Timberline and at locations around the country. Join Chef Stoller Smith to taste Oregon with impeccable food and wine pairing and farm fresh cuisine.
WINE LIST
The award-winning Timberline Lodge wine list is built around a single premise: offer the best of the Northwest. In his 20 years as wine manager, David Villali has developed a deep understanding of Northwest wines and friendships with the people who make them.
