STEAMBOAT INN WINEMAKERS DINNER
The Steamboat Inn is located in the picturesque Umpqua National Forest along the North Umpqua River. Over twenty years ago, the inn launched its first winemaker and guest chef dinner series, attracting Oregon’s top wineries and chefs to team up and present the state’s bounty of food and wine in seamless pairings. This year, Timberline Executive Chef Jason Stoller Smith pairs up with his close friends, Arron and Ashley Bell of Domaine Drouhin Oregon for an evening inspired by their recent travels to dine at some of the world’s best restaurants.
The Timberline & Domaine Drouhin dinner is May 15, 2015 at Steamboat Inn in Idleyld Park, OR. For more information about the dinner, contact Steamboat Inn by phone at (800) 840-8825.
WINEMAKERS DINNER SERIES
Timberline’s exclusive Winemakers Dinner Series pairs the Northwest’s bounty of wine and food with the exhilarating views from Mt Hood. Silcox Hut, located high above Timberline Lodge near the Palmer Snowfield, is the must-see location for these special food and wine pairing events. An awe-inspiring six course meal is prepared by Executive Chef Jason Stoller Smith. Each course is expertly paired with wine from vineyards throughout Oregon and Washington.
IPNC SALMON BAKE
The International Pinot Noir Celebration is a three-day event that features 70 of the world’s top Pinot Noir producers alongside world-class northwest cuisine. A long-standing tradition of the IPNC, the Salmon Bake dramatically showcases wild salmon roasted on alder stakes over a huge custom-built fire pit. Timberline Chef Jason Stoller Smith has participated in the IPNC for over 10 years, and the last five as the master of the Salmon Bake. In 2010, he took the Salmon Bake to Washington, D.C., where he built the massive fire pit on the front lawn of the White House and prepared salmon for a picnic hosted by President and Mrs. Obama.
The 29th Annual IPNC will be held July 24 – 26, 2015 at Linfield College in McMinnville, OR. Tickets for the Full Weekend are available at the Early Bird rate. Tickets for the Salmon Bake and Passport to Pinot will be available Spring 2015. Register Online or by phone at (800)775-4762.
