Across the parking lot from Timberline Lodge in the Wy’East Day Lodge, you’ll find the Wy’East Cafe and Y’Bar. Both are casual restaurants that are favorite hangouts for hungry skiers and riders taking a break from the slopes.
Skiers have several new food outlets to choose from at Timberline Lodge, in addition to the five existing Mt Hood restaurants. The Wy’East Café has replaced the Black Iron Grill in the Wy’East Day Lodge. In collaboration with Skylab Architecture and Lorentz Bruun Construction, this million dollar remodel is designed to appeal to active skiers and snowboarders with a variety of convenient, healthy, and hearty options. Food stations include burritos and bowls, pizza and pasta, burgers, and a fry bar in addition to a healthy grab-n-go section with sandwiches and salads. The Market Café has been renamed Y’Bar. Ski in – ski out food service will be located on-hill at the Phlox Point Cabin. This historic cabin has been remodeled into a warming hut offering food cart style tacos and beverages.
Offering fare better than your average ski lodge food, the Wy’East Cafe caters to skiers and riders looking to grab a quick meal between runs. During the summer and fall, bottled beer and wine is available at the Wy’East Cafe. Thirsty for something a little stronger? Head over to the Y’Bar during the ski season for a cold beer, a hand-crafted cocktail, or a hot and tasty drink.
