The Network Administrator is responsible for the administration of both MS Exchange and MS Active Directory; coordinate the Help Desk and provide technical assistance to staff as needed and articulate technical information clearly to non technical people; manage and deploy best practices related to backups, email, redundancy and business continuance; managing file shares, related permissions, and other shared network resources; helps manage department standards for installation, configuration, and maintenance for all computing aspects. Have proficient working knowledge of Windows client and server operating systems, VMSWare, multiple POS systems, Cisco routers and firewalls. Be able to deal effectively with stressful situations. Able to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision. Maintain uptime, availability, security, and integrity of critical data and systems. Effectively manages file shares, other shared network resources, and related permissions. Effectively uses remote protocols (VNC, VPN, RDP, Etc.) to administrate network. This is a part time position (3 days a week, with the possibility of 4 during busy times/when needed).
