Commercial Filming

Timberline Lodge & Ski Area is an ideal location for your film shoot. Whether it be a fashion Christmas catalog that you need to shoot in July, or a Burton Team Rider video, Timberline has it all.

The historic Timberline Lodge was built by hand wth large timbers, river rock, and hand forged cast iron accents in 1936, and is full of backdrops that you will not find anywhere else in the world. Outside the Lodge, the ski area provides a plethera of natural backdrops, to ensure you capture the ultimate shot. We welcome film crews to Timberline, and even have special packages designed especially for film crews, such as boxed lunches to take out on site, early breakfasts, merchandise rooms, etc. The next time you have a shot that calls for snow, think Timberline Lodge & Ski Area - we strive to be the best in the business. Timberline provides great backdrops for both summer and winter visuals and has hosted a variety of both on-snow and in-lodge shoots.

The U.S. Forest Service requires that anyone conducting a film or video shoot for commercial purposes at Timberline Lodge or around the ski area must obtain a Film Permit. Prices vary depending on the scope of work. A Certificate of Liability Insurance is also required. Please see details in the Film Shoot Packet located below for download.

We are happy to provide information explaining rates and logistics for permits, guest rooms, on snow transportation and other services available to assist you in getting "the perfect shot". I have tons of pictures from different times during the year that are easily emailable, just click on the link below and let me know what season and time you are interested in.
