Timberline isn’t just about skiing and snowboarding. There are lots of other awesome things to see and do on the mountain. Come up and check out the most amazing Mt Hood hikes, mountain biking, snowshoeing, Mt Hood camping and other activities we have to offer.

One of our most popular summer activities is to ride the Magic Mile chair lift to the mountain’s 7000′ level – no skis or snowboards needed! The spectacular view of Mt. Hood and nearby Mt. Jefferson is one you’ll never forget.
At 11,249 feet, the summit of Mt. Hood stands tall over the Pacific Northwest Landscape. The most challenging Mt Hood hikes of them all. Be prepared, go with a guide, and your reward will be nothing short of amazing.
Timberline offers a limited snowcat transportation service for mountaineers climbing Mt. Hood. Primarily available for groups who do business here, this is your chance to get a head start on your monstrous climb.
While there is much planning and work to do, we have set a course toward offering the region’s best lift-serviced downhill mountain bike trails. If you’re half as excited about this as we are, you’ve already jumped out of your chair!
Go for a casual hike around the Lodge or hit one of the many scenic Mt Hood hikes the surround the mountain. There are hiking trails for all skill levels in the Mt Hood National Forest.
Looking for an alternative to skiing? Still want to get outside and play in the snow? Want to experience stunning Mt Hood hikes in the winter? Our snowshoe trail may be just the thing you’re looking for.
While overnight camping is not permitted at Timberline Lodge facilities (including our parking lots), there are many Mt Hood camping options close by that offer access to pristine wilderness and breathtaking views.
