Timberline Lodge is rich in history and architectural beauty. We love to share this special place with others. What we offer our guests is a quality, authentic, and memorable experience.”

Timberline Lodge is a National Historic Landmark. Built in 1937 by the Works Progress Administration under President Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal, the Lodge was built as a Federal Arts Project to be an alpine ski lodge. Today, it is considered the quintessential American ski lodge, and Oregonians in particular consider it a place to celebrate their lives in the mountains. Visitors to the Lodge enjoy fine dining, outdoor recreation, spectacular scenery, conference facilities, and a year around heated swimming pool. Situated at the 6000 foot level of beautiful Mount Hood, Timberline offers 70 guestrooms and Oregon’s only true ski in/ski out slope-side lodging experience. It also boasts the longest ski season in North America, and is known for its famous summer ski program. In all seasons of the year, Timberline is a popular tourist attraction and a jumping off spot for world-class outdoor recreation.

Historic Hotels of America was founded in 1989 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
