PARKING PERMITS
Sno-Park permits are required for state-maintained parking areas in recreational areas. The funds raised by these sales supplement the snow removal budgets for these areas. All Timberline parking is maintained by the state, and therefore requires Sno-Park permits. They are available for 1 day, 3 days, and for a full season.
Day visitors during the winter season can purchase Sno-park permits at any open ticket window or inside the Wy’East Day Lodge at the guest services desk. Sno-Park permits are only required November 1 - April 31.
Parking Tip
If it’s a snowy day, flip your windshield wipers up before coming into the lodge. This will help make it easier to scrape/wipe off your windshield when you return to your car at the end of the day.
For safe driving, we recommend that you have proper tires on your car for the season in which you are traveling. For information on winter traction devices, chain laws, and road closures, please consult the Oregon Department of Transportation. For safe driving tips, download the Oregon Winter Driving Guide.
