PARKING PERMITS
If you’re driving your own vehicle to Timberline, remember that Sno-Park permits are required for all state-maintained parking areas in recreational areas November 1 – April 31. The funds raised by these sales supplement the snow removal budgets for these areas. All Timberline parking is maintained by the state, and therefore requires Sno-Park permits. They are available for 1 day, 3 days, and for a full season.

Day visitors during the winter season can purchase Sno-park permits at any open ticket window or inside the Wy’East Day Lodge at the guest services desk. They are also available at many local businesses on the way to the mountain.

Winter Driving And Parking Tips
If it’s a snowy day, flip your windshield wipers up before coming into the lodge. This will help make it easier to scrape/wipe off your windshield when you return to your car at the end of the day.

For safe driving, we recommend that you have proper tires on your car for the season in which you are traveling. For information on winter traction devices, chain laws, and road closures, please consult the Oregon Department of Transportation. For safe driving tips, download the Oregon Winter Driving Guide.

Parking Lot Full – It Can Happen
On busy weekends and holidays, our parking lot can reach its capacity at certain times during the day. Typically, we could see the lot become full by 10am. A “Lot Full” sign will be placed at the bottom of the Timberline access road if this happens. We will re-open the lot as guests leave for the day — typically between 12pm and 2pm.

Another alternative is to park in the designated overflow parking area in Government Camp near Collins Lake Resort. The Fusion Shuttle (see below) stops at Collins Lake throughout the day. Please note that this is a limited capacity shuttle.

Ride the Fusion Shuttle
If you’re a Fusion, Timberline or Skibowl season pass holder, you can ride this shuttle for free. If not, there is a small fee. The shuttle runs most weekends December thru February. Click here for more information and a schedule. (The Fusion Shuttle has concluded it’s operation for the 2010 winter season).
