Celebration of The 75th Anniversary of The New Deal
The year 2008 marks the 75th anniversary of the inauguration of the New Deal.

The New Deal programs changed the face of the Mount Hood National Forest. Timberline Lodge was constructed as a WPA project and the campgrounds and trails were constructed by the CCC. These places are still used today by visitors to the forest.

2008 Timberline Mountain Music Series
This family-friendly concert series will continue to feature folk, blues, country, and Americana music. It will be held, weather permitting, on each Thursday afternoon in August. Concerts start at 2:30 p.m. The scheduled line up features such performers as acoustic blues guitarist, Mary Flower, the Americana music sounds of the Larry Wilder Trio, and a special tribute to Mt. Hood and Timberline Lodge in songs and poems by local artists Julie McCarl, Will Frank, Paul Keller, and Jon Tullis.

The Timberline Mountain Music Series is underwritten by a generous sponsorship grant from the Boyd Coffee Company. Admission will again be free. No picnic lunches please -- food and drinks will be available for sale.

The historic amphitheater is also a memorable place for a wedding or special event. To check available dates and book your event, contact our sales and catering department at (503) 272-3251.
